Academic Philosophy

For a Lifetime of Critical Thinking

At Oxbridge Academy, students are taught the skills they need to succeed in an environment that supports their intellectual, social, and personal growth. Our academic approach focuses on in-depth project-based learning, where students engage in hands-on activities that enrich their understanding of our complex world.

We provide a diverse and rigorous educational experience, enhanced by a project-based philosophy that enables comprehensive study through the integration of meaningful student research, collaboration, creativity, and life-changing service learning. Our vision to be progressive and student-centered helps Oxbridge create a curriculum and learning environment that is integrated, adaptable, and relevant.

Every student who attends Oxbridge Academy is known, respected, and challenged. Oxbridge graduates will not only be prepared for college, but they will also have the well-rounded educational foundation that will make them extraordinary leaders and world changers.

Student Centered Opportunity

Oxbridge students come from various backgrounds with a range of skills and passions, but each has a unique opportunity to create a unique high school experience. Some will master a skill or hone a talent that existed before high school, while others will explore many different interest areas and discover a new passion. With eight academic departments, 57 honors courses, 100 electives and more than 40 clubs, Oxbridge students have the freedom to try new things in an environment where failure is a stepping stone to success.

  • 100% of Oxbridge graduates have been accepted to four-year colleges or universities.
  • The class of 2015 received $6 million in scholarship awards

Being at Oxbridge has helped me recognize that I've become a producer instead of a consumer; that I've made the decision to actively contribute to an artistic or political conversation, instead of sitting back and listening or just reaping the benefits. Oxbridge has given me the opportunity to participate in meaningful discussions, produce the art I want to produce, and actually make a meaningful impact on my community. I can't wait to bring the skills I've learned here, as a producer, to the wider world! Lily J., Class of 2017
