College Counseling

Starting in ninth grade, each student is paired with a dedicated college counselor who provides personalized guidance throughout the college search and application process, from selecting courses and extracurricular activities, developing a testing plan, and researching colleges and universities, to crafting applications and making final enrollment decisions.

Families also receive ongoing support, including clear timelines, communication strategies, and resources related to financial aid and scholarships.

Finding the right college is a highly personal, and sometimes complex, journey, as well as a period of transition for the entire family. Our goal is to help every student identify and pursue the path that best aligns with their strengths, aspirations, and values.

Document students’ community service hours
Advise students about the Bright Futures scholarship application process and requirements
Support students through the NCAA education and eligibility process
Counsel on the pros/cons of standardized testing with accommodations and facilitate students’ applications for Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) if appropriate
Schedule and host over 80 college admissions officers on Oxbridge Academy’s campus each year, which allows students to meet and interact with admissions representatives from colleges and universities worldwide.
Aid students through all steps of the Dual Enrollment application process
Administer practice SAT and ACT examinations and, after reviewing scores, advise students on the standardized test format that may best suit them
