Oxbridge Reopening Plan
August 9, 2020 (updated August 18, 2020)
Our Reopening Plan published last month was carefully designed to be responsive to an evolving public health situation regarding COVID-19. Over these last few weeks, we have observed the infection rate increases in Florida and our Palm Beach County communities. While indicators of infection rate have lessened somewhat in the past week from record levels, the rates remain too high and volatile for us to move forward with our Hybrid Learning Model as originally planned. We have decided that for us to protect the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff, and all families, we will open school on August 24 with the implementation of our Virtual Learning Model.
Our Virtual Learning Model Addendum to the Reopening Plan provides more detail on our fully online model, and contains many enhancements to our spring online learning program. We have continued our professional development to enrich teaching, counseling, and student support.
While we were looking forward to welcoming our students to campus, the health and safety of our Oxbridge community must remain our top priority. We plan to re-evaluate the COVID-19 situation in two-week planning intervals and will provide updates on this page regularly. Once it is safe to return to campus, we will transition first to our Hybrid Model and then hopefully to a full return to campus later this academic year. As always, we are committed to providing high-quality learning experiences and engagement for our students.
