UPPER SCHOOL STUDENTS, GRADES 9–12
All newly enrolled students are required to complete core course placement exams. Once enrolled, the Admission Office will contact you to schedule placement exams.

Course placement exams will be offered in three areas: English/Social Science, Math/Science, and World Languages. Course placement general information is listed below. 

ENGLISH/SOCIAL SCIENCE AND MATH/SCIENCE PLACEMENT EXAMS
Students complete the exams in-person through an online exam platform.

WORLD LANGUAGES (SPANISH, FRENCH, CHINESE) PLACEMENT EXAM
Incoming students in grade 9 may take the language placement exam if they wish to be placed in an advanced level language (e.g. Spanish II, French II, or Chinese II). Incoming students in grades 10–12 who want to continue their current language MUST take the exam or choose a new language to study. Students can take exams for more than one language.

MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS, GRADES 7 & 8
Once enrolled, the Admission Office will contact you to schedule the math placement exam.

UPPER SCHOOL
Newly enrolled students will be sent a link to complete their online course selection form. Review the 2022-2023 course catalog HERE.  All incoming students will receive their class schedules on Monday, August 22 during New Student Orientation. If you have questions about your student's course placements, please contact the department chair(s) for the specific course(s) up until 6/4/2022 or Amy Jurskis ajurskis@oapb.org after June 4th. 

The Drop/Add process occurs during a three-week period at the beginning of each semester. Drop/Add requests will be considered based on space and prerequisites for the course and will be processed in the order they are received.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
The Middle School electives are designed to encourage students to discover their passions at Oxbridge. 

• Students in grade 7 will rotate through an arts wheel that includes but is not limited to drawing, ceramics, photography, choir, theatre, and band. 
• Students in grade 8 will rotate through a technology wheel that includes aviation and graphic design, with the ability to choose two other electives.

Oxbridge provides learning support services to students with documented learning differences. In order to best understand a student’s learning needs and determine appropriate accommodations, the Learning Support Team reviews your child’s psycho-educational evaluation and creates an individualized Learning Support Plan.  If you would like your child to be considered for support services for the 2022-2023 school year, please provide the school with a copy of the current IEP, 504 Plan, or Accommodation Plan AND your most recent evaluation conducted by a qualified professional. Documentation for Upper School students should be emailed to Janet Outlaw, Learning Support Coordinator at joutlaw@oapb.org. Documentation for Middle School students should be sent to Tracy Wolfe, Learning Support Specialist, at twolfe@oapb.org. All documentation should be submitted no later than July 29, 2022.

Oxbridge Academy is required by Florida State Law to have the following documents on file to complete the student enrollment process. These documents must be on file by the first day of school, August 23, 2022:

• Immunization Record (Form DH680): Immunization records must be current and on Florida Form DH680 or DH681. Your Florida health care provider can provide you with a copy of your child's latest immunization record on Form DH680. Also, if you have shot records from out-of-state, your Florida health care provider or the Florida Department of Health can assist you in transferring your child’s shot records to the required Florida document. 
• Physical Exam (Form DH3040): This form must be dated no later than one year prior to the first day of school, August 23, 2022. Your health care provider can provide you with a copy of Form DH3040 after completing your child's physical examination. Parents fill out page one; the health care provider fills out page two. Students planning to try out for a sport are required to have additional, completed FHSAA forms on file (see athletics tab below).
• Copy of birth certificate or passport.
• Final transcript or report cards for grades 6 through your student's current grade. Please fill out the transcript request form and forward to your child's prior school so they can submit transcripts directly to Oxbridge Academy.
• Formally withdraw your student from their prior school. Public schools are linked to the DMV office and could report your child as truant, which could delay your child's ability to get a driver's permit or license in the future.

All students new to Oxbridge will be required to provide their own Apple laptop. Many students taking high-tech courses in computer science, math modeling, artificial intelligence, and graphic design prefer more high-tech devices, and this program allows those students to choose a device that works best for them. Certain minimum laptop specifications will be required in order to ensure students can operate the volume of software needed for general academic work at Oxbridge. The annual student fee covers the cost of Oxbridge-licensed software for all student laptops. The parent portal will be active on the first day of school. You will receive an email from Heather Rinaldi on August 23 with a link to set up your parent account. The link expires after 24 hours.

All Oxbridge students are required to wear a uniform each day to school but are not required to purchase any specific clothing from a specific vendor. Click HERE to review the school's dress code before you shop for clothing for your student. 

The Wolf Den, located in the North Building, will be open daily during the summer beginning Monday, June 6th from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

We do not require students to purchase clothing from a specific vendor. Below are a few other options for purchasing uniform clothing. 


 

• Wolf Den Online Store: Visit the Wolf Den online store to purchase required uniform clothing.
• Online BSN Outerwear Store: Visit our BSN online store for all your favorite Oxbridge spirit and outerwear. 
• Lands' End: Visit the Lands' End website and enter in Oxbridge’s School Code: 900149600.
• Harris Uniforms: Visit the Harris Uniforms website or visit their local store.

Click HERE to view the 2021-2022 bus routes and schedules. Bus routes are typically consistent from year to year. The 2022-2023 Bus Schedule will be posted as soon as it is available.

Upper School students are also allowed to drive to school with a valid driver’s license. New student drivers can receive a parking pass for 2022-2023 during the first two weeks of school. Student drivers must confirm their vehicle information (license plate number and make/model/color of vehicle).

Oxbridge encourages all students to participate in athletics and offers a well-rounded program that is an integral part of the educational experience at Oxbridge. Our athletic program provides opportunities for students to develop the framework for leadership, fair play, and ethical behavior: necessary skills for competition and cooperation in our society. Athletics provide students with opportunities for self-discipline, self-sacrifice, and loyalty to their community, school, and team. Click HERE to view of list of athletic teams offered by season.

All students are required to have completed FHSAA forms on file prior to any team athletic participation on or off campus. These forms are different than the Immunization Record (Form DH680) and the Physical Exam (Form DH3040) required to attend school. Click HERE for all forms and waivers required for student-athletes. 

The FHSAA forms can be mailed to the school, dropped off at the main lobby or submitted through email. Questions about forms and email submission of forms should be directed to Dr. Kelly Prisco, Director of Health & Wellness, at kprisco@oapb.org. 

Each summer, Oxbridge assigns required summer reading for all students and faculty. All incoming students should complete the assigned reading before the first day of school, August 23.
