Ms. Duff has been an Associate Director of College Counseling at Oxbridge since 2019. Previously, she worked as an independent college advisor in the New York City metro area and in Los Angeles. As a graduate student, Ms. Duff worked as a reader for Yale's Office of Undergraduate Admissions for two years. Shannon also worked in structured finance and asset management for four years after college in NYC at an investment bank.
Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Vanderbilt University; Master of Counselor Education from University of Virginia; Ms. Avakian is also recognized as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).
Ms. Avakian is a native Floridian who grew up in Palm Beach Gardens. She attended Vanderbilt University for her undergraduate degree, where she studied psychology and worked in various psychology research labs, her favorite of these focused on coping skills for at-risk youth. After completing her graduate work at The University of Virginia, she worked as a comprehensive high school counselor in Charlottesville, Virginia, for several years. Her background in comprehensive school counseling aids her in successfully working with students from various backgrounds and various experience levels in the college admission process. Her goal is to help make what can be a stressful process, preparing for and applying to college, a more manageable and fun task for students and families. Ms. Avakian is also an avid supporter of animals in need. She also serves as a foster parent to dogs looking for their forever homes, primarily through her work with the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida.

Ms. Del Ponte's interest in the college counseling field started in high school, and toured "way too many" college campuses in her search. Upon earning her master's degree, Del Ponte moved from the snowy northeast to South Florida, where she worked for several years as a comprehensive school counselor and was Department Chair of the Counseling Department at Suncoast High School. Ms. Del Ponte enjoys Oxbridge Academy's small atmosphere and being able to work closely with students and families in their college search and throughout the application process. Ms. Del Ponte is a Key Club advisor and views involvement in student life and giving back to the community as necessary and fulfilling for students' personal growth.
